Birthday parties are milestones in every person’s life and are usually celebrated.  Anniversaries of companies are also celebrated because they reflect the stability of the company.  There are also Christmas parties, Halloween parties and other celebrations.  This is short of saying, people just love to celebrate!

Every party organizer’s dream is to create a party that will be remembered and will really dazzle the guests.  A great dose of creativity coupled with hard work is needed to reach this goal.  Of course, one should go for unique party themes!  One party theme that is fresh and fun is the Alien Party theme.

Alien Party theme: What is this?

In the alien party theme, will have a futuristic set-up where aliens from other parts of the universe will convene into one important event on earth.  This means that the venue should reflect advanced technology.  Organizers may opt to specify the theme into specific “alien” movies so it would be easier for the guests to relate to the theme.  Examples of alien party theme that are adopted from movies are: Star Wars, Lords of the Rings, Star Trek, Wall-E and many more.  

How should guests look?

Guests are free to come in various alien costumes.  They can be as creative as they want to be in formulating their attires.  Inspirations for the attires in the alien party theme can be heavily derived from the movies.  They can come as Padme Amidala of Star Wars or Anakin Skywalker, Legolas, Frodo or Gandalf of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, as long as they are comfortable in wearing those attires. 

Guests can opt to give the overall look or they can also just wear a mask if they are not comfy with alien costumes.
There should a great marketing campaign to convince people to wear alien party themes attire so if you are the organizer of the party, be prepared for this.  This is because alien party attires can be costly and may be uncomfortable to wear.  

Organizers can also make gimmicks that will make everyone “comply” with the attire.  There can be a sort of trick or treat in the registry wherein all guests will get either a prize or they will be “transformed” by the organizers into aliens. 

Decorations: Create an Alien Party Convention

The alien party ambience will need a great dose of creativity to be achieved.  There are countless ways on how to create this ambience.  
One option in creating an ambience for the alien party is by heavily decorating the venue with silver to create a high technology and futuristic effect.  Space ships may be made and placed in the venue as well. 

Computers may be brought to the event and guests may be asked to log in a computer as the registry.
If you go for alien party themes that are tailored to the movies, you may create an ambience similar to the movie.  Get pictures of memorable scenes in the movie and give your venue a feel of that scene.  Again, the scene should be famous and can easily be recognized by people.

So, how would you like to eat an alien food?  You do not have to go to the extent of serving exotic food or put the food into capsules.  In the end, too much experimenting can sacrifice the taste and you wouldn’t want that.  However, what organizers can do is name the food in alien sounding names.  This will fascinate the guests without going to the risk of serving food that is not delicious.  You can also add an alien party ambience by the presentation of the food like using silver plates or cups.
