70s Themed party

Travelling with the Music to the 70s Disco Party

Music is the beauty of sounds that makes life much merrier. It is an expression of all the feelings man possesses in the form of eloquent cadence which makes it immortal. Just like time, music never dies. It is all around and within us, in one form or the other. Be it the first lullabies of ones mother, nursery rhymes, hymns or the Christmas carols, music is the essence of a satiated life.

It is believed that music has been there since man started to live in the form of groups. It has been an ingredient of every civilization, always growing as new kingdoms formed and new cultures rooted.

Scientists are of the belief that the pieces of musical art have been around Africa for more than 50,000 years. With time, this skill became an imperative part of our existence. However, the precise niceties of the birth of music are unknown to man. As man evolved into a sophisticated individual, music grew too; witnessing and absorbing the changes time brought, making it only more essential to our lives.

Music with time took many forms and meanings. Where it became an expression of love for some, it resounded as rejoice for others. Some even speak of the healing powers of music.

Since the day of its birth music has always been in the state of timeless escalation. It enriches our body, mind and soul by merging the harmonies of the past with the experiences of the future, crafting heart touching melodies. Music connects us with the reminiscent moments of our lives yet allowing us to thrive in the present and anticipate the future mysteries. Where a slow melody takes us back in time evoking the recollection of a loved one, a pop tune makes the day sunny and bright.

With the dawn of 20th century music modernized into something larger than life. With the help of radio, and other mass media, music became universal. 20th century music emancipated the customary rules making music rise above any sort of precincts, boundaries or limits. This led to tremendous experimentation, giving birth to many forms of music.

One of the most popular music of the 20th century is disco, which was formulated in the US in the late 1960s. This famous magnum opus is a genre of dance music, which was predominantly famous among the Hispanics and African Americans at that time. Disco music invaded the orb in a very short period of time, giving birth to many disco clubs.  The first ever-disco club was placed in New York City in February 1970 in the owner’s home.

With this the trend of disco clubs and disco parties started, rapidly spreading the beat to other parts of the globe. In the mid 70s most of the big US cities had booming disco clubs. In such parties the DJ played a song and people who had passion to disco music swayed and move till dawn. Famous disco artists are the Jacksons and The Beeges.

Disco style parties are still popular today. They are thrown occasionally, yet treasured as a precious part of recent history. With the formulation of complex forms of music, disco style partiers have not lost their significance making disco style parties one of their kinds.
