How to throw an engagement partyDo you want to announce and celebrate your engagement? You can do both the things at the same time. All you need for this is to throw an Engagement Party.

Hosts, Guests and Invitational terms

It is important to invite only those people whom you are going to invite to the wedding. So, you should compile your wedding guest list before the Engagement Party. Generally those who are to be invited are relatives and close friends.

The parents of the bride host traditionally. Though, nowadays anyone could be a host.

Try to throw the Engagement party not later then three months after the official engagement announcement. Usually the Engagement Party is held in a month after the engagement and three to six months before wedding. Sending invitational cards become a tradition.

It is preferable to handle a written invitation to your guest in order he/she won’t forget about the event.

There should be data and address of the party typed on the card. It is also better to make the cards personalized and type the guest’s name. It’d show your special attitude to your guest. Invitational cards should be handled not later then two weeks before the party. To have a worthy cocktail party you should have: some champagne (at least red and white kinds of it); some kinds of wine (The situation with wine is more difficult then with champagne. You need some red pop wine and some white pop wine, some semisweet red wine and some semisweet white wine, and at last some dry red wine, and some dry white wine); Martini; some liquors; some hard drinks (vodka, brandy, whisky, tequila, absinthe etc).

Though, even having a party outdoors you should have some place with a roof over it prepared for a case of a sudden rain. That’s why most outdoor parties are held in the backyard of one’s house. It is also possible to have a party in the nature. Then you should have a tent in order it is rain.

Indeed many people like having party in the nature, sitting near the fire and probably playing the guitar and singing songs.
